Weitzel won the individual title at the NCAA Atlantic Regional Championship Saturday afternoon at Schenley Park in Pittsburgh. The Athens, West Virginia native ran 34:01 for the 10,000-meter course. With the win, Weitzel earns a third straight all-region honor and qualifies for the NCAA Division II Cross Country Championship back at Schenley Park December 1. Weitzel is the first CU athlete to win an individual regional title in any sport.
