Laxton finished as the runner-up medalist at the Mountain East Conference Championship last week at Glade Spring Resort. Laxton went toe-to-toe with West Liberty's Michael Rogers in a sudden death playoff. The Pineville, West Virginia native shot rounds of 72-71-76 for the tournament before losing on the third sudden death playoff hole
