Akers broke the school record in the 600-meter dash at the Wake Forest Invite with a time of 1:25.96. In the process, Akers finished sixth in the event and was the top Division II finisher. Additionally, Akers helped CU to a third-place finish in the distance medley relay with a time of 10:57.77.
