Szamski was named to the American Baseball Coaches Association/Rawlings Atlantic All-Region team. Szamski led the Mountain East Conference in RBI as a freshman with 72 while batting .353 and hitting three home runs. Szamski was also named the MEC Freshman of the Year and was a First Team All-MEC selection.
