Concord University baseball sophomore pitcher Chris Kelly earned a complete game victory in a must-win contest against Shepherd last week at the Mountain East Conference Tournament. In what was an elimination game between the MEC’s top two teams, Kelly came up huge on the mound vs. the Rams, going all nine innings and allowing just one run on seven hits and two walks in Concord’s 5-1 victory. The outing, which was the longest of Kelly’s career improved his record to a team-best 8-2 on the year.
