Concord University senior first baseman Joey Miller helped the Mountain Lions to a four-game series split against Shepherd last week with continued success at the plate. In four games, Miller, who is in the midst of a seven-game hitting streak, batted .455 (5-for-11) with four runs, four RBI and two home runs while posting impressive on-base and slugging percentages of .571 and 1.000, respectively. The highlight of his weekend was a 2-for-4, one home run, three RBI performance in Concord’s 6-5 victory over the Rams in Saturday’s second game.
