Concord University senior pitcher Ryan Weatherholtz extended his personal winning streak to three consecutive starts with a complete-game victory in the Mountain Lions’ series opener over Notre Dame College last week. He had a dominant showing, allowing just four hits, no walks and a pair of runs while striking out eight batters in Concord’s 5-2 win. Weatherholtz, who took a two-hit shutout into the sixth inning, was just one strikeout away from matching his career-high and needed just 85 pitches to finish off NDC.
