Concord University sophomore second baseman Kristin Rose led the Mountain Lions to a pair of near upset wins over perennial power Carson-Newman last week. In two games, Rose hit .375 with one run, five RBI, one double, one triple and a home run. Rose started the series by driving in three runs on a 2-for-4 showing with the hits being a leadoff home run and a triple. She finished the day with two RBI in game two.
