Senior first baseman Joey Miller led the Concord University baseball team to a 2-1 series victory over regional foe Pitt-Johnstown last week with a stellar performance from the plate. In three games, Miller hit .692 (9-for-13) with four runs, two home runs and seven RBI in addition to three doubles as well as on-base and slugging percentages of .692 and 1.385.

After driving in two runs on one home run in CU’s 8-3 opening victory over UPJ, Miller came back with a 4-for-5, two-RBI, two-double effort in Concord’s 10-8 game two win. He wrapped up his weekend by driving in three runs and finishing a triple shy of the cycle in a 13-8 loss to the Mountain Cats.
