Senior Shawnee Carnett kicked off her 2014 indoor season by breaking a pair of Concord University records at the Virginia Tech Hokie Invite. Carnett began the week by clocking a time of 2:53.04. The time was good enough for sixth place at Virginia Tech and was over two seconds quicker than the previous record of 2:55.15, which also belonged to Carnett. She capped off her week by placing second in the 600-meter dash with a school-record time of 1:33.84.
