Concord University men's track and field athlete Jeff Fertig took part in the finals of the high jump at the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships Friday at the the Neta and Eddie DeRose Thunderbowl.in Pueblo, Colo. Fertig did not clear the initial height of 2.05 meters and finished in a tie for 14th place.

Friday's competition capped off an outstanding season for Fertig, who won the West Virginia Intercollegiate Athletic Conference championship in the high jump earlier in the month after clearing a school-record height of 2.10 meters. For the season, Fertig was victorious at three meets while also clearing over two meters on four occasions.
