Concord University softball player Becca Gleason has been named the West Virginia Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Player of the Week, the league office announced Monday.
Gleason, a senior, led Concord to a sweep of Bluefield State last week after going a combined 6-for-8 (.750) at the plate with four runs scored, three RBI, a double and a triple. Gleason, who had a 1.125 slugging percentage on the week, drove in three runs and finished a home run away from the cycle in Concord’s 10-1 run-rule victory in game one against the Lady Blues followed by a 2-for-4 effort in CU’s 3-0 win in game two.
