Smith led the women’s basketball team to a 1-2 week with per game averages of 15.3 points, 3.3 rebounds, 1.3 steals and 1.0 assists. The junior guard recorded 12 points and five rebounds against Virginia Intermont before scoring 19 points vs. Lincoln Memorial. Smith closed her week out with a 15-point, two-steal game in Concord’s 64-59 win at West Virginia Wesleyan.
Smith has started all 10 games for Concord this year and leads the team in scoring (14.4 ppg), field goal percentage (51.3 percent), free throws made (23) and total minutes played (307). She currently ranks 11th in the WVIAC in field goal percentage and 14th in scoring,
The Concord women’s team is off until it hosts Charleston at 4:30 p.m. in the Carter Center on Jan. 3.
