Parker set the school record in the high jump at Charlotte over the weekend. She cleared 1.71 meters as she won the event, and in the process recorded the third-best high jump in Division II this spring. She bested a field of 12 other jumpers that included seven Division I athletes. Prior to Parker breaking the record Saturday, the old mark was set in 2005 by Jennifer Gatewood at 1.63 meters. During the winter indoor season, Parke tied the indoor high jump record at 1.60 meters, also set by Gatewood.
