ERICE'S 79 LEADS LADY LIONS IN SEASON OPENER

The Concord women's golf team got down to work during Spring Break, opening its 2012 spring schedule with the first round of the annual Dana Rader Invitational on Monday.

The Lady Lions ended the day in 13th place in the 15-team field.

Marina Erice paced CU with a one over-par 76, putting her in 12th place in the individual standings.  She tied for 5th for most pars, with 11.

Justine Knox shot an 86 to tie for 49th.  Heather McMillen and Shelby Myers each carded a 97, tying them for 74th place.
The second and final round of the tournament is scheduled for tomorrow on the 5845-yard, par-72 Ballantyne Resort course in Charlotte, NC.
