Concord's Volleyball team will hold its annual “Dig Pink Day” on Thursday, October 13, when the Lady Lions host Mountain State University (WV) at the Carter Center.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and “Dig Pink” is a nationwide campaign coordinated by the Side Out Foundation to raise awareness of the fight against the disease.

Around the country, countless women's sports teams– and many men's teams, including all 32 teams in the National Football League – have worn pink on game days to show their solidarity.  Concord's players will wear pink for Thursday's match.

A donation jar will be placed at the main entrance to the gym on Thursday.  All monies donated will be contributed to the American Cancer Society.

Concord's non-conference match against Mountain State is scheduled to begin at 7:00 pm.  Admission is free.
