The Concord Women's Golf team placed two players in the individual top ten in finishing 8th in the William Beall Fall Classic, which concluded Monday in Findlay, OH.

Marina Erice (left) was 3rd, and Justine Knox 10th, as the Lady Lions finished in the middle of the 15-team field.

The Beall Classic was CU's last tournament before the WVIAC Championships later this month.

Four of the teams that finished ahead of CU at Findlay are among the highest-ranked teams in the nation.  Grand Valley State (MI), which won the tournament, is rated #1 in the country.  Runner-up California University (PA) is #7.  The third-place squad, Gannon University (PA), is #27, and Ashland University (OH), which finished 5th at Findlay, is ranked #22.

Erice's 74 on Monday was the third-best round of the day.  She also posted the tournament's only eagle, when she carded a 3 on the par-5 18th hole during Sunday's first round.

Knox fired a 79 on Monday to move up five spots from Sunday's standings and into the top ten.

Shelby Myers tied for 50th and Heather McMillen tied for 100th for the Lady Lions.

Up next for the Lady Lions is the WVIAC Championships, on October 21-22 at the Canaan Valley Resort in Davis, WV.
