TERDIK LEADS LIONS AT KIAWAH ISLAND

Fielding a squad without two of last year's top players, the Concord Men's Golf team stands tied for 12th place after the first round of the Kiawah Island Invitational on Monday, September 6.

Ryan Terdik – an All-Atlantic Region and All-WVIAC player in 2009-2010 -- led the Mountain Lions with a two-under par 70 at the Cougar Point Golf Club in Kiawah Island, SC. The low score has Terdik just one shot off the lead for Medalist honors.


Freshman Andreas Reideborn finished in the top 25 with a two-over 74. Fellow newcomer Matt Morgan carded a 79, senior Fernando Voss carded an 81 and freshman Cam Kennedy shot an 83.

Each squad's best four individual scores applied to its team totals.

Concord went to its season-opening tournament without two seniors -- All-Region and All-WVIAC player Emmanuel Charmat and All-WVIAC performer Kyle Long.

The second round of the Kiawah Island event is set for Tuesday, September 7.
