The Concord Men's Golf team knew it would be playing in a very competitive field at this spring's WVIAC Northern Regional tournament.
Of the five teams playing at the Oglebay Resort in Wheeling, WV, four are ranked in the NCAA Division II Atlantic Region top ten. The third-ranked Mountain Lions are joined by #2 Ohio Valley, #6 Charleston and #9 Bluefield State.
The Mountain Lions are in first place after the first day, holding a narrow two-shot lead over OVU on Oglebay's par-71, 7001-yard Speidel Golf Club.
