VOLLEYBALL FALLS AT VIRGINIA INTERMONT

Less than a day after their home match against the Rams of Bluefield College, Concord's Volleyball had to deal with the Lady Cobras of Virginia Intermont.

VI defeated the Lady Lions in four sets at Virginia Intermont on Tuesday, October 29, in Bristol, VA.

The 24-26, 25-22, 25-22, 25-13 result dropped CU to 5-13 in non-conference matches in 2010.

Emily Wilson led the Concord attack with 14 kills while hitting .209. Helen Theisen floored seven kills with a healthy .583 hitting percentage, while adding 27 assists.

Amber Miller, Tori Fornadel and Rebecca Lovejoy contributed six kills each.

Up next for the Lady Lions is a pair of WVIAC matches this weekend at the Carter Center.
Concord hosts 1st-place and defending conference champion Wheeling Jesuit Friday, October 22 at 7:00 pm.
West Liberty comes to Athens for an 11:00 am match on Saturday, October 23.
