Women's Soccer: Semi-Finals Preview

Mountain Lions Vie For Berth In Finals

The Concord Women's Soccer team's hopes of winning the WVIAC regular season championship suffered a setback early in the 2009 campaign.

On September 23, playing just their third conference match of the season, the Mountain Lions dropped a 2-1 overtime decision at Davis & Elkins.

The result helped propel the Senators to a perfect 10-0 league record – and the #1 seed in the conference tournament – while Concord finished 7-3 and the #4 seed.

CU and D&E meet again, in the conference semi-finals, Friday, November 6 in Elkins.   Kickoff is set for 5:00 pm EST.

The winner of Friday's match advances to the WVIAC final, at the home field of the highest remaining seed.
