Monday was a day of getting better at the WVIAC Women's Golf Southern Regional tournament, with each of the ten teams showing improvement over their first round scores on Sunday.

Concord stood in third place after the first day, and cut 11 strokes off its score in round two, but the progress did not pay off. The Lady Lions finished two spots behind tournament winner Wheeling Jesuit, which posted a Monday-best 325. First-round leader West Liberty was runner-up.

CU's Marina Erice (right) won Medalist honors, firing a Monday-best 72 to finish at 151 on the par-72, 5868 Big Bend Golf Club in Tornado, WV.
Erice's round was seven shots better than any other player, including teammate Vivian Garciaferro, who carded her second straight 79 to finish third in the individual standings.

The strong showings by Erice and Garciaferro earned them spots on the All-WVIAC 1st Team.

Heather McMillen posted her second consecutive 90 to finish 24th, while Shelby Myers carded a 92 to finish 27th.
