There's going to be a rematch.

Concord Volleyball team ended its regular season against Fairmont State on Saturday, and found out it'll begin its appearance in the WVIAC Tournament against Fairmont State next week.

The Concord Volleyball team ended its regular season with a four-set defeat (25-22, 15-25, 25-19, 25-20) at Fairmont State on Saturday morning.  The Lady Lions then found out they'll face the Falcons again in the first round of the WVIAC Tournament.

The two squads will play again at 9:00 am Thursday, November 10, at the Charleston Catholic Athletic Complex in Charleston, WV.

Concord is seeded 10th in the 12-team tournament.  Fairmont State is 7th.  The winner of their first-round match advances to meet #2 Alderson-Broaddus at 5:00 pm Thursday.

In Saturday morning's match at Joe Retton Arena, Jasmin Sutherland and Brytni Willis each floored 11 kills to lead Concord, with Sutherland posting a sizzling .579 hitting percentage.  Becca Lovejoy added seven kills.
Nikki McMillan and Helen Theisen combined for 31 assists for CU.

For Fairmont State, Bri Swann had 19 kills, Amber Wilson 15 and Leslie Giordon 12.  Jessica Seevers had 48 assists and Morgan Walls 17 digs.



Concord finished the 2011 regular with a 15-19 record, 5-9 in the WVIAC.  The Lady Lions are 3-5 in neutral-court matches.
