CONCORD LAUDED AGAIN

The post-season honors keep coming for Concord Baseball.
 
Second baseman Greyson Schram, shortstop Donovan Huffer and outfielder Keith Morrisroe have each secured spots on the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association All-Atlantic Region Team. 

Schram earned a spot on the 1st Team and the region's Player of the Year award.  Huffer and Morrisroe were named to the second team.

Schram has also been named the West Virginia Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Player of the Year and Hitter of the Year, and the Daktronics Atlantic Region Player of the Year.


Greyson Schram
Schram won the WVIAC Triple Crown by hitting .508 with 20 home runs and 81 RBIs in 38 games, with a 1.103 slugging percentage and .599 on-base percentage.  He averaged a home run every 6.3 at bats and an RBI every 1.57 at bats.

The senior from Stanley, NC led the nation in slugging, on-base percentage, home runs per game (.53) and RBIs per game (2.13). He was runner-up in batting average.


Donovan Huffer
Huffer excelled in the classroom – he was Concord's 2010 Valedictorian – and on the diamond. 

He paired with Schram to give Concord one of the most dangerous middle infields in all of college baseball power, hitting .496 with eight home runs and 57 RBIs.  Huffer added an .863 slugging percentage and a .575 on-base percentage.

The senior from Churchville, VA was third in the nation in batting average, runs per game (1.66) and doubles per game (.53), fifth in on-base percentage and 9th in slugging.

He led Concord in hits (65), doubles (20) and assists (101).


Keith Morrisroe
Morrisroe hit .410 with four home runs and 40 RBIs, to go with a .515 on-base percentage.  He also led the nation with 1.84 runs per game.

The sophomore from Chantilly, VA drew 20 walks and led CU in triples (3) and stolen bases (13).
He posted a .981 fielding percentage while splitting time between catcher, third base and the outfield.

Schram is also in the running for the first-ever Tino Martinez Award for the top player in Division II.  Fan voting will decide the winner.
