The bulk of Concord University’s Spring sports schedule has yet to begin, but already a group of Mountain Lions teams is garnering regional and national attention.
The CU Men’s Tennis team is ranked #7 in the NCAA Division II Atlantic Region 2010 pre-season poll, as designated by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association.
Concord is one of four WVIAC teams in the ITA poll.
The Mountain Lions open their 2010 season at the University of Charleston Tournament on February 12-13.
The Mountain Lions Men’s Track Team is ranked 19th, and the Women’s team 22nd, in the US Track & Field and Cross Country Association’s Atlantic Region Indoor poll of February 2, 2010.
Both teams will make their third visits this season to the Dyson-Baudo Recreation Center at Marietta College to compete this Friday, February 5.
